Judy Odell West Coast Artist

Judy Odell paints in an impressionistic style in oil, watercolor, and acrylic “leaving something to the imagination of the viewer.”  Abstracts, seascapes, landscapes, sea birds and brightly colored florals, for which she is acclaimed, are equally explored.


Born and raised in the Northwest, Odell was naturally drawn to the sea and in recent years discovered sport fishing.  Last summer she caught 31 salmon.


In 1991 Judy Odell was honored with a retrospective showing of her work at the Frye Art Museum in Seattle.  Many of those paintings are now available as giclees (signed and numbered prints on canvas),  In March 2007  she debuted 24 giclee’s at Checkers art gallery in Poulsbo Washington.


Odell studied art on a scholarship at Olympic College in Bremerton Washington.  She also studied with great Russian artist Sergei Bongart and more recently with internationally acclaimed watercolorist John Solminen.  Judy Odell is a long standing member of Seattle Co - Arts. She is a former member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. Furthermore, She is a member of the International Society of Acrylic Artists.



Judy is showing her orginal paintings at the Port Gamble Gallery. Her museum quality giclee’s at the Port Gamble General Store in Port Gamble WAshington.
